HSM officially opened in Detroit last night to a fantastic audience! The show is still in it's "out-of-town" phase until official opening in Chicago this coming August.

High School Musical will begin its preview in Detroit tonight! Michael will assume the role of Jack Scott, the same character he created in Atlanta, and continued in Pittsburgh this past winter and spring.

8 TONY's!
Spring Awakening swept the TONY's this year with 8 victories! Included among them were: Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Orchestrations for both Duncan Sheik and/or Steven Sater, Best Director of a Musical for Michael Mayer, Best Featured Actor in a Musical for John Gallager, Jr., and Best Musical! Michael was in the original company of Spring Awakening as its original understudy in its off-broadway birth at the Atalantic Theatre Co. Congratulations to a wonderful show, cast, and company!
Also, a special congratulations to Jay Johnson: The Two and Only on its TONY for Best Special Theatrical Event!
